Jochen Sachse can look back on over 30 years of experience as a professional audio engineer. He is the CEO of the HOFA GmbH. His work with national and international artists makes him and his studios one of the first addresses in Germany when it comes to professional recording, mixing or mastering. Artists and producers like Deborah Sasson, Jack White, Sidney Youngblood, Anita Burck, Pink Cream 69, Silverwood, Bernd Clüver, Yakari etc. trusted and trust his work. As a songwriter, producer and musician, he has won the German Rock and Pop Award. The album “Licht” of his studio project INI was awarded as the best German-language album of the year.

Jochen Weyer has been an audio engineer at the HOFA-Studios since 1994. He is a classical trained pianist and has recorded and mix hundreds of productions. He has played keys in several bands over the last 35 years and you can hear his sound design on countless records. Jochen Weyer passes on his many years of expertise in numerous workshops.

Adrian Clausing has a diploma in Musicdesign and worked for the microphone company Shure. At HOFA-College he works on mix analyses, customer support, workshops, course development and as a mixing and mastering engineer. He owns the label “Damaged” and is a DJ and music producer (“Mosqk”). He played clubs like Griessmühle Berlin, Zollamt Stuttgart, Bukowski Heilbronn and the Nature One, which is one of the largest electronic music festivals.

Toygun Kirali studied music and tonmeister studies and worked as a freelance tonmeister and instrumental teacher, as well as lecturer for room acoustics for several years. He is one of our product managers and the head of HOFA-Akustik. He works as a music director for various productions in different genres for Deutschlandradio, SWR, HR and BR with famous composers and musicians like Helmut Lachenmann, Thomas Quasthoff, Rebekka Bakken and Isabelle Faust. In 2014 he was awarded the “Golden Bobby” prize by the Verband Deutscher Tonmeister.

Jan Bönisch completed his vocational training as a audio-visual media designer at HOFA in 2015. He then enrolled at Duale Hochschule Mannheim to study digital media (focused on media management and communications). At HOFA he’s a marketing director and tutor for Film and Graphics and he’s responsible for quality management.

Fabian Freitag completed his vocational training as an audio-visual media designer and works as audio engineer and tutor. He’s gained a lot of experience at the HOFA-Studios, where he worked with artists like Freddy Sahin-Scholl (Supertalent Winner 2010) or the Rastrelli Cello Quartet. He plays the piano and trombone in various ensembles and produces his own music.

Marc Sann has been a tutor at the HOFA-College since 2013, where he mainly works in customer support, web development and programming. In 2011 he completed an audio engineering diploma and worked for productions at Radio RPR1 and as an IT technician. He’s a singer, bassist, guitarist, drummer and pianist.

Simon started his career at HOFA on the basis of a study in music at PH Karlsruhe, completed a vocational training as a specialist for audio technology and a close cooperation with the Popakademie Mannheim. At HOFA he’s focused on customer support, workshops and course development and also works for HOFA-Plugins. Simon plays in several live and studio projects and worked with artists like Jon Lord (Deep Purple) or Chris Thompson (Manfred Mann).
Senior Audio Engineer & Tutor
Jürgen Lusky has been an audio engineer for more than 20 years. He is the senior mastering engineer at HOFA and polished records by Laith Al-Deen, Crematory, Krokus, Angra and many more. He recorded and mixed bands like Bap, the Kelly Family, Guildo Horn, Michelle, just to name a few. At HOFA-College, Jürgen is responsible for workshops on mixing and mastering.
Audio Engineer, B.A. Audio Production
Christoph Thiers has a Bachelor of Arts in Audio Production from the Middlesex University London. At HOFA-College he mainly focuses on mix analyses, customer support and course development. He has experience in both classical and popular music. Christoph was a student of Alexander Grebtschenko and worked on several sound installations and new electronic music compositions. In 2007 he won the “Jugend komponiert” award and gained a lot of audio engineering experience, both in the live domain and in the studio.

Dennis Ward has been working at HOFA-Studios and HOFA-College for many years. He plays bass at Unisonic and Pink Cream 69 and engineered and produced bands like Krokus, AXXIS, Angra, Primal Fear and many more. MelodicRock.com named him “Producer of the Year” and the album “Angra”, that he produced in the HOFA-Studios has been awarded “Production of the Year” (Burrn! Magazine).

Nicolas is the child of two professional singers. Music has always been a part of his life. He sings on huge stages and his portfolio spans different genres (rock, pop, schlager, musical). At HOFA his main focus is room acoustics consulting and customer support.

Tim has extensive musical knowledge and is mainly responsible for mix analyes and customer support. He’s a big band guitarist and a funk & jazz pianist. Tim collaborated with Chris Thompson (Manfred Mann), Cassandra Steen & Max Mutzke.

Lennart composes big band arrangments and film scores and plays the guitar. He bringst important musical skills to the HOFA-College team and works as a film cutter as well. At HOFA he mainly works on mix analyses and customer support.

Noah Kempf works as a audio-visual media designer for HOFA-College. He has years of experience in music production, audio engineering and as a pianist and bringst musical know-how to the team. As a tutor his main focus are mix analyses, course development and customer support. He uses his online marketing and graphic design skills for many HOFA-College projects.
